On 11 February 2025, at 18:00, a free webinar ‘Online, Children and War. Briefly about the main points’. The event is organised by the NGO #stop_sexting with the participation of the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine. Experts will talk about the main online risks for children that have been exacerbated by the war, as well as give practical recommendations for parents and educators.

The war has significantly affected the digital environment, making it even more dangerous. The enemy is using the Internet space to manipulate, recruit children and involve them in illegal activities. Disinformation, malicious content and fraud are also among the threats. Children can come across fakes that influence their perception of reality, view violent photos and videos that traumatise their psyche, or become victims of fraudsters under the guise of charity fundraising.
At the webinar, participants will receive up-to-date information on online threats and effective prevention strategies. The manual ‘Digital Environment and War Crimes. Children’, created with the support of the cyber police, juvenile police and the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine. After the event, educators will be able to conduct a thematic lesson and receive a certificate of professional development.

Participation is free, but pre-registration is required via special forms for teachers and parents.
