Recently, the sixth train of Ukrzaliznytsia, No. 7/8 Bukovyna, became the flagship train. It runs between Kyiv and Chernivtsi. What are flagship trains, where do they run to and what makes them special?
What makes them special
Flagship trains have new and overhauled compartment and luxury cars, vacuum toilets, air conditioning, sockets, USB chargers, changing tables, video surveillance in the corridor, alarms on compartment doors and panic buttons.
In addition, the train has an inclusive carriage. The train also has a brand name and logo based on its history and route. You can find such a train in the app, as it is marked accordingly.
This does not mean that the flagship train will be more expensive to travel on. Ticket prices remain unchanged, explains Ukrzaliznytsia.
