The memorandum envisages the implementation of several key initiatives:
- Establishment of the Community Recovery and Development Centre in Vorzel. The centre will become a modern space for social integration and support for community residents, including those affected by the war.
- Opening of the Ukrainian Red Cross Hub. The hub will provide humanitarian aid and coordinate the organisation’s activities in the region.
- Strengthening humanitarian activities. The cooperation will include social support for the most vulnerable people in the community.
Maxim Dotsenko stressed the importance of this partnership: ‘Our joint efforts are aimed at improving the quality of social support for the population, providing the necessary equipment and ensuring qualified personnel. We want to help the people of Bucha return to normal life.’
Anatoliy Fedoruk noted that the signing of the memorandum is another important step in the recovery of the community, which was significantly affected by the active hostilities in the Kyiv region.
This cooperation is not new: since 2022, the Ukrainian Red Cross has been actively assisting the Bucha community in restoring educational and healthcare facilities and providing humanitarian aid to local residents.
