The Government of Ukraine is allocating UAH 1.6 billion to purchase about 460 school buses in 2025 to ensure that children, especially in rural areas, can attend school in person. This step will facilitate access to education for about 30,000 students, including those living in the de-occupied territories or with special educational needs.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Kyiv (UAH 180.6 million), Zakarpattia (UAH 169.3 million) and Vinnytsia (UAH 141.9 million) regions will receive the largest amounts of subvention. Deputy Minister of Finance Roman Yermolychev noted that the renewal of the school bus fleet is an important step to ensure equal access to knowledge for all children.
