These state-of-the-art mobile clinics will significantly improve access to healthcare for residents of six regions most affected by the war.
The new mobile clinics are equipped according to European standards and are ready to provide a wide range of medical services, including consultations, diagnostics, treatment, and vaccinations. Thanks to their mobility, they can reach even the most remote corners of the region, providing medical care to those who need it most.
“This is an important step towards restoring Ukraine’s healthcare system,” said Yulia Gruber, Director of the “Special Program for Supporting Ukraine /EU4ResilientRegions” project, implemented by GIZ. “Mobile clinics will provide much-needed medical care to thousands of Ukrainians who have lost access to stationary medical facilities due to the war.” Before setting out to see their patients, medical teams underwent special training to ensure the provision of high-quality medical care.
The initiative to transfer mobile clinics was made possible through the cooperation of the German government, GIZ, the Patients of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, and local communities. Key advantages of mobile clinics:
- Accessibility: Ability to reach remote settlements.
- Comprehensive services: A full range of medical services.
- Modern equipment: Compliance with European standards.
- Patient comfort: Air conditioning systems, lifts for people with reduced mobility.
Thanks to this project, thousands of Ukrainians will gain access to the necessary medical care, regardless of distance and difficult living conditions.
