The British company SafeLane Global Limited will join large-scale mine clearance operations in the territories of the Ukrainian nature reserve fund, especially those affected by Russian aggression. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Serhiy Vlasenko.
According to the memorandum, the company will conduct a survey of Ukrainian national parks, develop detailed demining plans and facilitate the attraction of international financial assistance. These measures are extremely important for the restoration of ecosystems and the safe use of Ukraine’s natural resources.
As a reminder, Russian aggression has caused significant damage to the Ukrainian environment. According to preliminary estimates, the losses amount to about $71 billion.
