Increase in the program budget

The increase in the “Prihystok” budget was made possible through the joint efforts of the President’s Office, UNHCR, the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Recovery. This funding will allow the program to continue until the end of 2024.

Support for homeowners

The “Prihystok” program provides homeowners who have accommodated internally displaced persons (IDPs) for free with the opportunity to compensate for their utility expenses. This significantly supports those who assist displaced individuals during this crisis.

Funding and international support

Since January 2023, UNHCR has been a financial donor for the government program “Prihystok” according to an agreement signed with the Ministry of Reintegration. Earlier this year, international donors provided over 615 million hryvnias to support the program.

Impact of the program on internally displaced persons

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, nearly 1.2 million internally displaced persons have benefited from the “Prihystok” program. Currently, about 65,000 households are participating in the program, accommodating more than 160,000 displaced individuals.

This initiative demonstrates the efforts of Ukraine and its international partners to support those affected by the war, providing essential assistance during this challenging time.
