Energy Conscious: The government is expanding opportunities for citizens and businesses in the field of alternative energy sources

In Ukraine, a number of initiatives are being implemented to promote the development of alternative energy sources for individuals and businesses. The government is providing accessible financial resources to simplify the acquisition of necessary energy equipment.

Support for Private Households


Private households are offered interest-free loans for the installation of solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage systems. Citizens can take advantage of loans of up to 480,000 UAH for a term of up to 10 years. This program is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

Support for Homeowners Associations and Housing Cooperatives


Homeowners associations (HOAs) and housing cooperatives (HCs) that wish to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings can receive compensation of up to 2 million UAH for solar stations and up to 2 million UAH for heat pumps. The state covers up to 70% of the project costs. This program is also implemented by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

Support for Small and Medium Enterprises


Small and medium enterprises can access loans of up to 150 million UAH at an annual interest rate of 5-7-9% for the development of eco-friendly energy solutions. Funds can be used for the purchase and installation of solar panels, wind turbines, energy storage systems, as well as for the construction of gas turbine, gas piston, and biogas generation plants. The program is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

Small and medium businesses can also take advantage of the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine, obtaining preferential loans of up to 25 million UAH at an annual interest rate of 9% for solar panels, heat pumps, cogeneration plants, bio-boilers, and other energy-efficient equipment.
