Flu vaccination is starting in Ukraine: new batches of the vaccine have already arrived

According to the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs, an additional 88,200 doses of this vaccine (batch Y4A122V) are currently undergoing quality control. By the end of September, another 81,850 doses from the same manufacturer are expected to be delivered. Additionally, 65,150 doses of the influenza vaccine produced in Korea (batch Q60224011) are being checked.

It is important to remember that approximately 6 million cases of infectious diseases are registered annually in Ukraine, with 98% of these cases being influenza and ARVI. Severe influenza can lead to dangerous complications, such as heart, lung, and kidney diseases. The most effective prevention against influenza is annual vaccination, which is recommended but not included in the list of free vaccines.

It’s also important to note that vaccination against influenza does not provide protection against COVID-19. Vaccination can be done on the same day or with minimal intervals.
