The government has decided to continue state assistance payments for the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons (IDPs). Recent amendments have been made to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s Resolution No. 332 of March 20, 2022, “On Some Issues of Providing Assistance for the Living of Internally Displaced Persons.” According to the new provisions, payments will be extended for the next six-month period for individuals belonging to particularly vulnerable categories of IDPs.
Extension of Assistance
According to the adopted resolution, financial support will be extended to internally displaced persons who are already receiving state assistance for living according to previously defined vulnerability categories. This decision is aimed at providing stable financial support for those who are most in need during the prolonged situation of forced displacement.
Development and Adoption of the Resolution
The draft resolution was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. It was prepared based on discussions during meetings of the Coordination Headquarters on IDP issues, chaired by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
The goal of the adopted decision is to support the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons and provide them with necessary financial assistance in the crisis situation.
We have previously reported that residents of frontline areas will receive financial assistance for purchasing solid fuel.
