Residents of frontline areas will receive financial assistance for purchasing solid fuel

Residents of frontline areas will receive financial assistance for purchasing solid fuel. The Ministry for Reintegration reports that the government has adopted a relevant decision. This measure provides for a one-time payment of 21,000 UAH to vulnerable households in frontline (border) communities for the purchase of solid household fuel. A total of 1.2 billion UAH is allocated for this humanitarian project.

Priority will be given to residents living within a 10-kilometer zone from the state border with Russia or the line of conflict. This includes communities in Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv regions.

The cash assistance program is being implemented with financial support from the UNHCR.

The act was developed by the Ministry for Reintegration as part of the implementation of the Plan of Urgent Measures for Stabilizing Livelihoods in Areas of Active Hostilities. This Plan was approved by the government decree on June 25, 2024, No. 583-р.

The implementation of this act will help meet the needs of vulnerable populations in frontline areas for household fuel during the winter period.
