The Ministry of Reintegration reports that, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 930 “Some Issues of the Functioning of Temporary Accommodation Centers for Internally Displaced Persons” (TACs), internally displaced persons have the opportunity to reside in TACs with their pets. This decision provides a crucial opportunity for those who are forced to evacuate and wish to keep their beloved animals close.
However, there are specific procedures to follow in order to accommodate pets in TACs. Here are the main steps to consider:
- Obtain Preliminary Approval: Before evacuating with a pet, you need to obtain preliminary approval from the manager of the specific TAC. This is an important step, as the possibility of accommodating pets depends on the conditions and resources of each particular facility.
- Submit a Written Request: To obtain permission, you need to submit a written request to the TAC manager. The request should include information about the pet, such as its species, size, and care requirements.
- Evaluate Living Conditions: The TAC manager will decide on the feasibility of housing pets, taking into account the facility’s ability to provide appropriate living conditions and comply with sanitary standards. This may include the availability of designated areas for pets, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Timely Submission of Request: To avoid misunderstandings and ensure a smooth relocation, it is advisable to inquire about the possibility of living with pets at a specific TAC in advance and submit your request as soon as possible.
If the decision is positive, you will be able to relocate with your pet in safe and comfortable conditions. It is important to follow all instructions and requirements set by the TAC management to ensure a comfortable living situation for you and your pet.
Ensuring your pet’s well-being during evacuation can significantly ease the adaptation process in new conditions and maintain emotional comfort for both you and your animal.
