The government has allocated 175.42 million UAH for major repairs and the construction of shelters in three schools. These funds are part of the support provided by the Government of Lithuania through the UNITED24 fundraising platform.
In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the resolution “On the distribution in 2024 of funds from the account for addressing the needs of education and science, opened by the Ministry of Education and Science at the National Bank, for ensuring a safe educational environment.”
- 84.37 million UAH is allocated for the construction of a radiation shelter at Bilenkiy Lyceum “Lider” (Zaporizhzhia region).
- 78.06 million UAH is directed towards building a civil protection facility at Lozivskyi Lyceum No. 12 (Kharkiv region).
- 12.98 million UAH will be used for major repairs of a civil protection facility at Pushkarivskyi Lyceum of the Verkhnodniprovsk City Council (Dnipropetrovsk region).
We thank the Government of Lithuania and the UNITED24 platform for their support of Ukrainian education. These are not the first shelters being constructed and repaired with this assistance. Previously, funds were allocated for three educational institutions in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions.
