The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend monthly living allowances for the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons for another six months, until February 2026. The relevant resolution was drafted by the Ministry of Social Policy.
Previously, these payments were due to expire in August 2025, as most displaced persons had already received assistance for three six-month periods. The extension of the programme will allow people to get through the difficult stage of finding housing, work and adapting to new communities.
Financial support will continue to be provided to people with disabilities of groups I-III, families with children under 18 (or under 23 if they are studying), families consisting only of disabled persons, and other categories determined by the government.

The document also introduces several changes to the procedure for granting assistance:
- having a deposit of more than 100,000 hryvnias will no longer be an obstacle to receiving payments for orphans and children deprived of parental care;
- if an able-bodied person registers with the employment centre or finds a job after the termination of payments, the assistance will be resumed from the month of official employment.
The continuation of payments will take place automatically — no additional application is required. The amount of assistance remains unchanged:
- 2,000 hryvnias per adult;
- UAH 3,000 per child or person with a disability.
These funds will be paid monthly to each member of a displaced family from vulnerable categories or those with low incomes.
