For the first time in Ukraine, medical school graduates were ranked for internship placements using an electronic system. The digital tool, created on the basis of Dія.Engine, was integrated with a single portal for vacancies in medical institutions. This approach ensured a transparent, automated and fair distribution, where each intern was placed where their knowledge was truly needed.

Almost 3,000 graduates took part in the process, submitting over 13,500 applications. As a result of the electronic distribution, all participants received budget places for internships.
This is the first time in Ukraine’s history that medical graduates have been able to see all available internship places across the country in real time. The distribution took place without any paperwork — completely in electronic format, which eliminates the risks of manual intervention and corrupt practices.
In the future, the system will provide full electronic support for the entire internship: from admission to completion of training, including the issuance of a specialist certificate.
The digitisation of medical education was made possible thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The development was supported by the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Programme, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
