Until 30 June 2025, Ukraine is accepting applications for the selection of specialists to support war veterans and demobilised persons. These are full-time employees who will work in communities – in particular, in municipal institutions and enterprises subordinated to local governments. Their main mission is to support veterans and their families on their way to integration into civilian life.

Who is a support specialist?
This is the first person veterans encounter after returning from war. The specialist helps them navigate the social services system, get information about statuses, benefits, housing, rehabilitation, employment opportunities or starting their own business. In addition, he provides legal advice and supports military families, including those of the deceased.
It is not only about administrative support, but also about human interaction, which requires empathy, understanding, flexibility and knowledge of veterans’ needs.
Who is being sought for the positions
Citizens of Ukraine with at least a bachelor’s degree in a wide range of specialities can apply: social work, psychology, journalism, history, law, information technology, management, healthcare, transport, security, and others. It is important to have experience in social or related work, communication and teamwork skills, an understanding of the challenges faced by veterans, and a desire to help them return to civilian life.
How to apply
You can fill out the application form by 30 June through the e-Veteran electronic platform. To do so, you will need an electronic signature (file, hardware or Diia.Signature), a document on education, passport, RNOKPP, CV, and, if available, a certificate from the medical and social expert commission.
The selection process is ongoing throughout Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied regions and areas where active hostilities are taking place. In such cases, veterans apply to specialists at their place of actual residence.
