Sports camp in Kyiv for veterans — registration by 31 May

A sports camp for female and male veterans, initiated by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Come Back Alive Initiative Centre, will take place in Kyiv from 30 June to 4 July. For five days, the participants will have the opportunity to learn sitting volleyball, restore their physical and psycho-emotional health, and communicate in a comfortable circle of their brothers and sisters in arms.

The camp programme includes adaptive sports, work with physical therapists and masseurs, psychological support and leisure activities such as pottery, fishing, board games and film screenings. Veterans with visible or invisible injuries sustained while defending Ukraine, who have not previously participated in sports competitions or camps, are invited to participate.

Participation is free of charge — the organisers provide accommodation, meals, travel, and training. Registration is open until 31 May at this link.

Those who are unable to join the camp can take part in the All-Ukrainian sitting volleyball competition to be held on 5-6 July. The event is part of the implementation of the Veteran Policy Strategy and the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
