The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine has announced a call for project proposals from non-governmental organizations aimed at creating conditions for the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to four communities in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. This initiative is part of the joint UNDP and UNHCR project “Mine Action and IDP Return in Southern Ukraine,” funded through the Ukraine Community Recovery Fund.

The project’s goal is to support the safe and dignified return of IDPs, strengthen community resilience and sustainable development, and protect the rights of IDPs and vulnerable groups. UNDP focuses on debris removal, mine action, and enhancing community capacities in providing legal, medical, and vocational services, while UNHCR is responsible for repairing social infrastructure and private housing, as well as protecting IDP rights.
The project targets communities under the control of the Government of Ukraine, particularly in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Special attention is given to supporting women, children, the elderly, veterans, and persons with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity and sustainability in recovery processes.
Interested public and charitable organizations must be officially registered and operate within the Mykolaiv or Kherson regions. Detailed competition conditions and participant requirements are available on the official UNDP Ukraine website.
