The evacuation concerns the Yunakivska and Myropilska communities, in particular the villages of Khrapivshchyna, Kyianytsia, Ivolzhanske, Maryine and Nova Sich in the Yunakivska community, and Sinnoye, Barylivka and Hnylytsia in the Myropilska community. Volodymyr Artyukh, head of the Sumy ATC, stressed that it was dangerous to stay in these villages.
He also said that there are no civilians in Novenke village of the Yunakivska community, which is now in the so-called ‘grey zone’.
Artyukh stressed that some residents refuse to leave despite the threat. This not only puts their lives at risk, but also limits the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counter the enemy.
