In 2025, the Ministry of Social Policy and UNFPA will expand support for victims of violence

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and UNFPA are planning to expand services to combat domestic and gender-based violence and to assist victims of conflict-related sexual violence. These plans were discussed during a working meeting between representatives of both organisations.

Uliana Tokareva, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, stressed the importance of developing a national system of response to violence and adapting services for people who have experienced traumatic war experiences. Pavlo Zamostian, UNFPA Deputy Resident Representative in Ukraine, confirmed the Fund’s readiness to continue supporting, in particular, mobile teams of social and psychological assistance.

In 2025, it is planned to improve the response system, audit the quality of specialised services and adapt correctional programmes to new conditions. Special attention will be paid to training specialists working in the field of combating gender-based violence and expanding support for veterans and their families.
