The State Logistics Operator will provide the military with a ‘Wounded Person’s Package’ developed by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. It will consist of about 30 items that will be issued to the military who will be admitted to stabilisation centres or inpatient medical facilities.
The package will be divided into three groups: adaptive clothing, personal hygiene products for men and women, and special spoons and cups to make eating and drinking easier. In particular, it will include:
‘The first category to be provided to the military this summer is adaptive clothing. When providing emergency care in the combat zone, the wounded soldier’s clothing is usually cut. As a result, the soldier is left without personal belongings and hygiene products. To solve this problem, the Ministry of Defence has developed the Wounded Man’s Package. Our team is currently researching the market to be ready to announce the procurement next month,’ said Viktoriia Vinogradova, DOT’s director of the materiel programme.
At the same time, the DOT team continues to collect suggestions from the military and volunteers on how to fill the package and improve certain items of adaptive clothing. In the future, after summarising all the comments, the equipment will be finalised and the relevant changes will be implemented to best meet the real needs of the military.
