The national network of RECOVERY rehabilitation centres has expanded. A new centre has been opened in Chernihiv and will be able to accommodate more than 1,000 defenders of Ukraine every year.
The RECOVERY network already has 16 centres, but including the second stage of opening, rehabilitation facilities have been launched 20 times. They have already helped more than 22,000 servicemen and women, and when they reach full capacity, they will be able to treat up to 26,000 patients a year.

The centre in Chernihiv is completely barrier-free: wide doorways, no thresholds, medical anti-slip linoleum, handrails in the corridors and inclusive sanitary facilities provide convenient access for all patients.
The head of the centre, Hanna Anisovets, emphasises that the facility not only provides physical rehabilitation, but also creates an environment where the military can regain independence in everyday life. ‘Our patients, even if they arrive in wheelchairs, can fully serve themselves. The Chernihiv centre has no physical barriers, and our team works to ensure that there are no psychological barriers,’ she said.
In addition to Chernihiv, the RECOVERY network already operates in Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kyiv, Lutsk, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernivtsi.
