Selection of experts for the veteran business support programme has begun

The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, together with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, has announced the launch of an open selection of experts for the new phase of the grant programme ‘Worth Doing Your Own 2.0’. The initiative is aimed at supporting veteran entrepreneurship, and the involvement of independent experts in the evaluation of applications should ensure transparency and professionalism of the selection process.

Experts with experience in setting up and developing businesses in Ukraine, especially in the agricultural and woodworking sectors, are invited to apply. The experts will have to work with the applications: analyse the projects, participate in their public defence, and provide final assessments and recommendations. Applications will be accepted from 1 to 31 July 2025 (until 12:00 Kyiv time).

The Worth Doing Your Own 2.0 programme is a logical continuation of the initiative, which has already proven to be an effective mechanism for supporting veterans who want to rebuild the country’s economy through their own business. In the new phase, special attention is paid to engaging experts who have a deep understanding of the needs of small businesses in the context of war and recovery.

The partners of the programme are the agricultural company Kernel and the MHP-Hromada charity foundation. Detailed requirements for candidates, terms of participation and the application form are available on the official website of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund and the UVF Project platform.
