Zelenskyy signs law on provision of social services

The document provides for the renewal of key approaches to the organisation of social protection assistance, making it more transparent, convenient and adapted to modern conditions.

Among the important changes is the clarification of the classification of social service providers depending on their form of ownership. This allows for a clearer delineation of powers and responsibilities between state, municipal and private entities. The law also regulates the possibility of providing services in a remote format, which is especially significant for people with limited mobility or residents of remote settlements.

The document regulates the procedure for the provision of social services in cases where there is no relevant state standard. This means that assistance will be available even in new or unusual situations without unnecessary bureaucracy. In addition, liability for violations of legislation in the field of social services is updated, which should help improve the quality of service.
