Three temperature records were set in Kyiv on 6 March. This was reported by the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory.

The minimum air temperature at night did not drop below 7.9°C, which is 2.2°C higher than the previous record in 2020. In the afternoon, the maximum temperature reached 19.2°C, exceeding the 1995 figure by 1.8°C. The average daily temperature was also a record, reaching 11.9°C, which is 2.5°C higher than the previous value in 1995. It also exceeded the climatic norm by 11.3°C and corresponds to the typical temperature on 24 April.
According to meteorologists, such high temperatures in early March are due to the influence of warm air from southern latitudes and the overall warming of the climate. Ukrainian weather forecasters record an increase in the average annual temperature and more frequent abnormally warm periods.
