NMT 2025 with new test rules – what will change for applicants

In 2025, participants of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) will be able to choose the order of tasks within 120-minute blocks. This innovation applies to both the first block, which includes the Ukrainian language and mathematics, and the second block, which includes the history of Ukraine and a subject of choice.

In particular, applicants will be able to start with mathematics and then move on to the Ukrainian language, or vice versa, depending on their preferences. Similarly, in the second block, you can first complete tasks in the chosen subject and then move on to the history of Ukraine.

In addition, within the same block, participants have the right to skip difficult questions and return to them later if they have time. This allows you to complete tasks in any order, optimising your own pace of work.

It is also possible to redistribute time between subjects within the same block. If a student completes the tasks of one subject faster, they can use the saved time for another subject within the total 120 minutes.

It is worth noting that it is not allowed to change the order of tests or redistribute time between two blocks. Each block has a fixed time and structure.
