Government allocates UAH 15 billion for housing for IDPs through the eRestoration programme

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has reallocated UAH 15 billion to provide housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs) whose homes were destroyed in government-controlled areas as a result of the war. These funds are provided through the eRestoration programme, which is being implemented by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

The eRestoration programme provides compensation for the purchase of new housing. To participate in the programme, you need to have IDP status and complete certain steps depending on the availability of the eRestoration certificate.

It is worth noting that the eRestoration programme is part of the government’s broader strategy to support IDPs and restore the housing stock in the government-controlled areas. According to the Ministry of Social Policy, as of the beginning of 2025, more than 5 million internally displaced persons were registered in Ukraine. Providing them with housing is one of the government’s priorities.
