The Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, Artur Dobroserdov, has released new official data on the number of people listed in the Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances. He told Ukrainian Radio that the search is ongoing for 62,948 people. This figure includes both military personnel and civilians.

So far, 10,291 bodies have been located and identified. At the same time, search operations are ongoing, and the exact number of missing persons may change depending on newly confirmed cases.
According to Artur Dobrocerdov, the Register mainly includes people who disappeared in the combat zone or on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. It also records information about people who disappeared as a result of natural or man-made disasters.
The search for missing persons continues in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, international organisations and volunteers. The Commissioner urged relatives of missing persons to contact the relevant services to receive up-to-date information and assistance.
