Starting from 29 January, internally displaced persons (IDPs) will be able to apply for a rental subsidy. This subsidy will be provided on terms similar to the housing subsidy and will be aimed at supporting the most needy families. The subsidy will be available to those IDPs who have fled the occupied territories or war zones and do not have their own housing in safe regions. Or whose housing situation does not allow them to live in the existing conditions.

The subsidy is also available to those who rent housing but do not have sufficient funds to cover the rent, or if they spend a significant portion of their income on rent. Important conditions are that the landlord and tenant must not be related, and the landlord must not receive compensation under the Shelter programme.
The application process can be carried out both offline at PFU service centres and online through the PFU e-services portal or mobile application. To apply, you must provide a lease agreement, an application in the prescribed form, and, if necessary, documents confirming special circumstances or the powers of representatives. If the homeowner is located in another region or abroad, the documents can be submitted electronically.
