It is known that this unique product is a real brand of Kyiv, which has gained cult status over several decades. Perepichka has become the subject of many memes, quotes, and even cloning attempts. The Centre emphasises that it is a vivid example of the resilience of cultural traditions that have been maintained by talented people for decades.
Irma Vitovska-Vantsa, an actress, director and public figure, was the key ambassador of the initiative. Together with playwright Natalia Vorozhbit, she created the one-woman show Kyiv Perepichka, which has already been recognised as a true artistic masterpiece. The play, in which perepichka acts as a symbol of the invincible Kyivan spirit, has become a powerful cultural statement.
