In 2024, Ukrzaliznytsya passengers surprised us with unusual findings left behind on trains and at railway stations. Some of them are so unexpected that they raise only one question: ‘How is this possible?’ Some of the most curious finds include a bucket of eggs, an archery bow, a box of live butterflies and even a live cat. It seems that the latter definitely surprised not only Ukrzaliznytsya employees, but also everyone who learned about this event. In addition, wet swimsuits, a meat grinder, a diamond cross, a wallet with $6000 and even a stylish dog jacket were found.
In total, in 2024, passengers asked the railway staff 17,218 times to help them find their lost items. Fortunately, in 70% of cases, the items were found and returned to their owners.
