During his visit to Poland, Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov announced the launch of a new strategy. This strategy is aimed at strengthening national identity. It also encourages Ukrainians living abroad to return to their homeland. This was reported by Ukrinform.
Chernyshov stressed that, according to various estimates, about 32 million citizens now live in Ukraine. The number of Ukrainians outside the country ranges from 25 to 30 million. He noted that this includes those who left the country by 2022.

The minister stressed the importance of uniting the Ukrainian nation, which comprises about 60 million people around the world. The strategy aims to create conditions for the return of Ukrainians. It also provides support for those who stay abroad. This will help to keep the connection with Ukraine and its development.
The initiative aims to strengthen ties between Ukrainians in Ukraine and the diaspora. It provides them with opportunities to contribute to the country’s future. The strategy also includes aspects of multiple citizenship. This allows even those who temporarily or permanently live abroad to keep close ties with their homeland.
