‘This partnership is an important step towards environmental protection. WWF is a leader in implementing innovative environmental solutions, and together we will focus on preserving forests, water bodies and energy-efficient technologies in the urban environment. I am confident that this cooperation will be an important contribution to the sustainable development of the capital,’ said Voznyi.
Valeriia Kolomiets, Director of Restoration Projects at WWF-Ukraine, added that the memorandum opens up new opportunities for environmental education initiatives and public involvement in environmental activities. The main focus will be on water bodies and forests, which are critical for the restoration of ecosystems and the health of the capital’s residents.
‘By raising awareness and engaging the community with the authorities, Kyiv will become an example of sustainable development for other cities in Ukraine,’ said Valeriia Kolomiets.
