The Ukrainian Parliament has supported Draft Law No. 11028, which aims to improve social conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs). The draft law provides certain categories of IDPs with a priority right to compensation for destroyed or damaged real estate under the eVindustriya programme.

In particular, internally displaced persons belonging to the following categories will be entitled to priority compensation: pensioners, persons with a dependent child under the age of six, adoptive parents, guardians or custodians of children, as well as foster parents and foster carers. In addition, priority will be given to those raising two or more minor children or a child with a disability, as well as those raising a child under 14 without a spouse. It is important to note that persons with Group III disabilities will also be entitled to compensation on a priority basis.

These changes are intended to ensure more social justice for people who were forced to leave their homes due to the hostilities. As well as to provide assistance to those who find themselves in difficult living conditions due to having children or disabilities. The draft law is a significant step towards supporting IDPs and their integration into society, creating conditions for the restoration of housing rights and improving their overall well-being.
