The World Health Organization in Ukraine, together with the National Expert Group on Infection Control (NEGIC), announces the recruitment of 40 infection control specialists to participate in the II Winter School on Infection Control, which will take place in 2025.
Who can apply?
Healthcare professionals, including specialists working in infection control departments of healthcare facilities or disease control and prevention centers.
In the previous recruitment, more than 400 applications were received, but due to limited spaces, only 40 healthcare professionals will be selected for training.
Registration period
Applications will be accepted from December 1 to December 29, 2024. You can register here: registration. Pay special attention to the motivational letter when filling out the registration form. The results will be announced on December 30, 2024.
Training format and program
The II Winter School on Infection Control 2025 will be held in a blended format, including both theoretical and practical parts.
- Theoretical part
The classes will be held online, allowing participants to complete the course at a convenient time. The course consists of 20 topics, with a total of 60 academic hours. This includes 40 hours of lectures and 20 hours for assignments and testing. There will be online meetings with trainers at the beginning and end of each module. The training will start on January 20, 2025. - Practical part
The practical part of the training will take place from March 12 to March 14, 2025, in Lviv. Over three days, participants will undergo training, including theoretical tests and the development of practical skills. All expenses for travel, accommodation, and meals during the practical training in Lviv will be covered by the organizers.
Certificates and CPD
Upon successful completion of the exam, participants will receive certificates and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, confirming their qualifications in infection control.
The II Winter School on Infection Control is a significant step in improving the qualifications of healthcare professionals in Ukraine and ensuring a high level of infection safety in medical institutions.
