As of now, over 1,700 children are considered missing in Ukraine as a result of the war. This data has been published in the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Leonid Tymchenko.
Search for missing children
Specialized centers are operating across the country to search for missing children. These centers work under the Main Departments of the National Police in regional centers. Here, investigators and criminal police officers collaborate with authorized representatives on missing persons and, if necessary, with representatives from the Security Service of Ukraine.
Recommendations for citizens
Citizens searching for their missing relatives are advised to contact the nearest Main Department of the National Police or call the hotline at: 0 800 103 333.
