A recent meeting chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, discussed providing support to the evacuated population. Representatives from the Ministry of Reintegration, international and public organizations, as well as regional military administrations participated in the meeting.

Focus on accessibility
The main topic of the meeting was accessibility and the arrangement of temporary living spaces for elderly and mobility-impaired internally displaced persons. The discussion specifically addressed the accessibility of premises for people with limited mobility.
Additional funding
Matthias Schmale, the UN Coordinator in Ukraine and UN Humanitarian Coordinator, emphasized that the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, together with its partners, decided to allocate $20 million to support local organizations helping vulnerable populations.
Anticipating proposals
Proposals are now awaited from organizations that already have experience in this field but require additional funds to implement their ongoing projects or wish to expand their activities.
The UN Humanitarian Coordinator also noted that international organizations will continue to support evacuated Ukrainians, with particular attention to vulnerable categories of the population.
