A meeting regarding the current status of the international technical assistance project “Improving Housing Conditions for Internally Displaced Persons in Eastern Ukraine” was held under the chairmanship of Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the President’s Office.

Representatives from the Ministry of Reintegration, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine, the Reconstruction Credit Institute (KfW), regional military administrations, and local self-government bodies participated in the meeting.
The project aims to restore and modernize houses damaged due to hostilities, as well as to construct new housing facilities in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions.
Participants of the meeting coordinated the timelines for the implementation of works on project sites and discussed ways to address problematic issues. Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized the need to strengthen mutual coordination and make maximum efforts by all relevant state authorities and organizations for the quality and prompt implementation of the project.
It should be noted that the international technical assistance project “Improving Housing Conditions for Internally Displaced Persons in Eastern Ukraine” is being implemented through the IOM with financial support from the Government of Germany and assistance from the Ministry of Reintegration.
