Official Name
Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières
Areas of Activity
MSF actively works in Ukraine, providing medical assistance in regions such as Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, and Vinnytsia. The organization also makes donations in other regions.
Key Areas of Work:
- Mobile Clinics: In the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions, mobile clinics visit communities near the frontline that have limited access to medical services. Doctors provide consultations and supply medications for free.
- Tuberculosis Testing: TB tests are conducted in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, allowing for early detection of the disease.
- Intensive Care: In Kherson, doctors work in the intensive care unit of one of the hospitals, providing critical assistance to patients.
- Early Rehabilitation: In Cherkasy, an early rehabilitation project is implemented for people affected by the conflict. Early physical rehabilitation significantly speeds up recovery and provides prosthetics as needed.
- Patient Evacuation: In the Donetsk region, ambulances operate to evacuate scheduled and critically ill patients to medical facilities located further from the frontline upon request from local hospitals.
- Psychological Support: In Vinnytsia, a center for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) operates, where psychologists offer consultations and art therapy.
