What is national cashback?

National cashback is a form of financial support from the government that allows recipients to spend the funds on utilities, medical services, transportation, and other expenses. Users can also donate their cashback to charity, particularly to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or purchase military bonds.

The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, noted that the program not only supports Ukrainians but also stimulates the development of national production. A cashback of 10% is granted for purchases of Ukrainian goods, with a maximum payment amounting to 3,000 UAH per month.

How to receive cashback?

To receive cashback, Ukrainians must meet several conditions:

  1. Application: Submit an application through the website or mobile app of one of the participating banks (PrivatBank, monobank, Oschadbank, and others).
  2. Card identification: Indicate the cards from which purchases will be made and grant the bank permission to share transaction information.
  3. Card opening: Open a physical or virtual card to which cashback will be credited.
  4. Activation in Diia: In the “Diia” app, select the “National Cashback” card for payments.

Funds will be credited to those whose cashback amount for September exceeded 2 UAH. It is important for the payment card to be activated in “Diia.” If someone has not activated their card, the payment will be made in November.

Taxation

The received cashback is not subject to taxation, as stipulated by the relevant law. For civil servants and other citizens required to submit annual financial declarations, the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) has provided clarifications on this matter.

Conclusion

The “National Cashback” program is an important tool for supporting Ukrainians during difficult times. It not only provides financial assistance but also encourages the purchase of Ukrainian goods, thereby promoting the development of the national economy.
