Who is affected by the new changes?

The changes will affect the following categories of individuals:

Minimum benefit amount

The minimum unemployment benefit remains unchanged at 1500 UAH. This assistance is available to young people under 35 who lack insurance experience, as well as individuals dismissed under specific articles of labor legislation, such as systematic failure to fulfill duties without valid reasons, absenteeism, theft at work, and so on.

Duration of payments

During the period of martial law, the duration of unemployment benefit payments cannot exceed 90 calendar days. For individuals of pre-retirement age, the maximum duration of payments is 360 calendar days.

The increase in the minimum unemployment benefit is an important step in supporting those who have lost their jobs during this challenging time. These changes aim to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable categories of the population and help them adapt to new circumstances.
