Lisovyi emphasized that protecting the Ukrainian language is a priority, but it is also important to consider the development of the languages of national communities in the European Union. He noted that the Russian language is used as a tool of aggression, making such a decision necessary to support the Ukrainian language and cultural identity.
The minister highlighted the importance of caring for the languages of indigenous peoples and national minorities but stressed that this does not apply to the language of the aggressor country.
