MES launches online platform to fight bullying

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has launched a new online platform to combat bullying in schools. Students and their parents can now report cases of bullying by filling out an anonymous or personalised questionnaire on the AIKOM website.

How to report bullying

  • Go to the AICOM website.
  • Click the ‘Report Bullying’ button.
  • Register or log in to an existing account.
  • Fill in the form.
  • Click the ‘Continue’ button and confirm your report.

This initiative is designed to simplify the process of reporting bullying and ensure a quick response from the school administration. The principal is obliged to respond to the report within a day by convening a special committee to review the situation. If necessary, social workers, police and other services may be involved in solving the problem.

Bullying is a problem

According to Yevheniia Smirnova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, bullying is a serious problem that negatively affects children, and creating a safe educational environment is a priority for the Ministry of Education and Science.

The AICOM website also provides answers to frequently asked questions about the new option, tips on how to respond to bullying, and information on how to get help.
Importantly, the anonymity of the applicant is guaranteed, and the information is used only to solve the problem and protect the child.
