The Ukrainian Parliament has adopted the government bill No. 11310 in its second reading, with 284 members voting in favor.
Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, stated that this law establishes the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. The document also outlines the architecture of climate governance in Ukraine, financial instruments to achieve climate goals, and incorporates the objectives of state climate policy into post-war recovery programs.

This serves as an important argument in the negotiation process, confirming Ukraine’s readiness to join the EU and meet the conditions for receiving financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility.
