The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has announced the extension of registration for the pilot project called She Drives, aimed at training female bus drivers. The registration deadline has been extended to October 15, 2024.

About the Project
The project “Expanding the Professional Potential of Women in Passenger Transportation” is a free program designed to develop women’s professional skills and facilitate their employment in this field. This is a unique opportunity to realize one’s potential in a profession where women currently make up less than 1% in the passenger transportation sector in Ukraine.
Who Can Participate?
The project is open to women aged 21 to 65 who:
- Reside in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv.
- Hold a driver’s license of categories “B,” “C,” “CE,” “D1,” and have a driving experience of at least 3 years.
- Are willing to learn both online and offline.
- Wish to retrain and work as bus drivers after completing their training.

Project Implementation
The project is being implemented by the non-governmental organization “Institutional Development Foundation” at the initiative of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, in collaboration with UN Women in Ukraine and with financial support from Sweden.
