According to the data from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the number of civilian casualties in Ukraine significantly increased in the summer of 2024. From June 1 to August 31, at least 589 civilians were killed as a result of the full-scale Russian aggression, and 2,685 people were injured.

Notable Trends
The report indicates that the number of civilian casualties during this three-month reporting period was 45% higher than in the previous report for spring 2024. This increase is linked to daily shelling near the front lines, particularly in the Donetsk region, as well as massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Overall Statistics
In total, since February 24, 2022, at least 11,743 civilians have been killed in Ukraine due to conflict-related violence, and 24,614 people have been injured.
