The Ukrainian government has decided to allocate funds for the construction of three more shelters in educational institutions. This is an important step toward returning children to in-person learning in safe conditions.

Where Will the New Shelters Be Located?
- Zaporizhzhia Region — 1 anti-radiation shelter
- Kherson Region — 1 anti-radiation shelter
- Kyiv Region — continuation of the construction of a shelter that began last year
The total cost of these projects is 59.56 million UAH. Communities are required to report monthly on the use of funds, ensuring transparency through the DREAM platform — the State Digital Ecosystem for Recovery Management.
Interim Results of Grant Utilization
To date, the government has already funded 60 projects for the construction and renovation of shelters in schools. Here are the key figures regarding this year’s grant:
- Total grant amount — 2.5 billion UAH
- 53 projects — under construction
- 4 projects — in the process of finalizing tender procedures
- 1 project — awaiting permission to start work
- 2 projects — reallocating funds within the Chernihiv region
