Vouchers for Education: New Opportunities for Ukrainians

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has updated the List of Professions and Specialties eligible for educational vouchers. Now, Ukrainians can choose from 95 professions and 60 specialties that meet the demands of the modern labor market. The new list includes 16 new professions and 15 specialties, particularly those necessary for the restoration of infrastructure, housing, and energy.

In-Demand Professions

The updated list includes professions such as:

  • Master of Installation and Maintenance of Renewable Energy Systems
  • Electrician
  • Technician for Measuring Instruments and Automation
  • Crane Operator
  • Fire-resistant Material Specialist
  • Firefighter-Rescuer

New specialties include renewable energy sources, hydroenergy, aviation and rocket-space technology, and biomedical engineering.

The Voucher Program

The voucher grants the right to free education at educational institutions or with an employer according to the approved list. As of now, the maximum voucher amount is 30,280 UAH. If the cost of education exceeds this amount, the participant or employer covers the difference.

Who Can Receive Vouchers?

Vouchers are available to:

  • Individuals over 45 years old
  • Veterans and combat participants
  • Internally displaced persons of working age
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Individuals injured during military aggression

How to Obtain a Voucher?

  1. Choose a specialty, profession, and educational institution.
  2. Submit an online application on the State Employment Service website or visit an employment center with the necessary documents.
  3. Sign an education contract within 90 days after receiving the voucher.

The voucher program is part of the “Work Without Barriers” project aimed at supporting the competitiveness of Ukrainian citizens in the labor market.
