Government allocates funds to rebuild schools and hospitals affected by war

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate funds for the reconstruction of schools and medical facilities affected by the hostilities. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to the government’s decision, 350 schools will receive financial assistance from UNICEF in the amount of UAH 290,500 each. These funds will be used to modernise canteens, prepare for the winter period and repair engineering networks.

In addition, the government has allocated a state subvention of UAH 56.9 million for the construction of shelters for schools in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Kyiv regions. It also decided to reallocate funds for healthcare needs. According to the Prime Minister, more than UAH 120 million will be allocated to repair hospitals and install autonomous water supply systems.

These measures are part of the government’s efforts to restore the infrastructure damaged by the war and ensure the normal functioning of educational and medical institutions in the affected regions.
