Germany will provide EUR 30.4 million to improve the reliability of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure

Germany will provide a EUR 30.4 million soft loan to improve the reliability of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The funds will be used to reconstruct one of Ukraine’s substations in the western region. The financing will also help purchase expensive high-tech equipment for substations that were damaged by enemy missile and drone attacks.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the German Government has provided €1.55 billion in budget support, including €1.25 billion in grants and €0.3 billion in loans.
